SR (U16)--
2025-- FEES-$230
A player's league age is determined by age as of August 31, 2025
IN ORDER TO QUALIFY FOR POST SEASON PLAY (DISTRICT TOURNAMENTS), PLAYERS MUST BE ENROLLED BY APRIL 1 AND HAVE A PRE SEASON PLAYER EVALUATION. PLAYERS DO NOT HAVE TO PLAY ANY REGULAR SEASON GAMES.
Capitol Little League hopes to be able to field a team in this division for regular season games with other nearby Little Leagues. Signups at Capitol and other leagues in our district will determine if that is possible.
Players league age 15 and 16 MUST play SR (U16).
Players league age 14 MAY play JR (U14) or SR (U16) or BOTH and may double roster .
Players league age 13 MAY play SR (U16) JR (U14) or Intermediate (U13) and may double roster.
A coupon code for Double Roster can be used at payment point to reduce fee for second division to $60 (uniform fee).
Based on conversations with other leagues in our District 3 Little League, the board has decided to offer Intermediate (U13), JR (U14) and SR (U16) for 2025 Spring season.
WE are opening the signups for this division--IF we don't get enough players for a team, we will determine IF players can play in JR division for Spring regular season and evaluate IF we can get enough players for a SR district team.
Players in SR (U16) division will be learning advance baseball skills-sliding, stealing, leading off, bunting. It is a designed to be a transition to high school baseball. The base paths are 90 feet rather than 60 feet. The distance from the mound to home plate is 60 feet rather than 46 feet. This is high school distance.
Games will be one weeknight and occasionally double header on Saturdays. At least half will be on our fields in Tumwater.
We plan to also play some games against local Babe Ruth and PONY league teams.
Since we don't have lights on our fields, games at Capitol fields are no new inning after 2 hrs. 5 runs/3 outs per inning. Continuous batting order and unlimited defensive substitution. We use Little League pitch count and days rest rules. 7 inning games with mercy rule of 10 runs after 5 innings.
