Capitol Little League serving Olympia, Lacey, Tumwater & Thurston County

Challenger Division

Challenger Division was started in Woodinville WA about 30 years ago to provide the opportunity for players who were differently abled to play baseball with their peers. It is now an International division of Little League.

Players must be a minimum of league age 5 but there is no upper age limit.

Teams play a form of T-Ball and Coach pitch combined based on each player's ability.  Players may have "buddies" who are from other league divisions, siblings or parents to assist them as needed in fielding and running the bases.

Our Capitol Little League Challenger team starts a bit later in the year--about end of April and plays thru the summer until about mid September.  The team takes the holiday weekends off.

The team plays on Sunday evenings for the most part but  has some events on other days.   The team has played the Grays Harbor Challenger team and in Federal Way Challenger Jamboree at Federal Way field the last couple of years.
